Brightspace allows instructors to organize their classlist in tabs so that they can choose to view or email the entire roster or a subgroup.
Instructions
- On the navbar, click Course Tools and select Classlist from the dropdown menu.

- By default, this feature is enabled. Use the tabs to display students, instructors, TAs, or everyone in the classlist.

Change Which Groups Are Displayed
- Click on Settings.

- Use the dropdown menu in the display column to determine whether students, instructors, and TAs each get their own tab. Note: Anyone enrolled in the class will always appear in the All tab.

- Click Save.

Email a Subgroup
- On the navbar, click Course Tools and select Classlist from the dropdown menu.

- Click Email Classlist.

- Select the appropriate group tab.

- Click Send Email.

View Classlists by Section
Note: The following instructions are for merged courses only. If you do not have a merged course then you will not have this option.
- By default, the Users section contains an unfiltered list of students. Instructors who have merged course sections can filter this list by class section. To do so, click on the View By dropdown menu and select Sections.

- Click Apply.

- Use the Sections dropdown menu to choose the appropriate section.

- Click Apply.
