Survey Setting do not include options for assigning scores because survey questions are not graded. When questions are added, you do not specify which answers are correct, i.e., a survey does not have a correct answer.
Create a Survey
- From the Nav bar, select Course Tools and click Class Admin.
- From the Class Admin page select Surveys.
- On the Surveys page, click New Survey.
- On the New Survey page, enter the Survey Name and define additional settings
- To add questions to the survey, click Add/Edit Questions do one of the following
- In the Question Library or the Add/Edit Questions area of the Surveys tool, click Import and select the where you would like to pull existing questions.
- In the Question Library or the Add/Edit Questions area of the Surveys tool, click New and select the question type or information item you want to create.
- Click Save and Close.
Deploying Surveys within Content Areas
- From the Nav bar click Content and select the module that you would like to add the survey.
- On the module page, click Upload/Create and select New Survey.
- On the Create a Survey page, enter the Survey Name and add instructions for learners to view.
- On the New Survey page, select Survey Setup to add questions define additional settings.
- Continue to update survey settings.
- Click Save and Close.
View Survey Results
You can view the responses to each question, including the distribution of student responses for each question.
To track survey progress and results
- Navigate to Surveys.
- Navigate to the survey that you would like to view, click on the dropdown triangle to the right of the title and select Statistics.
- To view results you can do the following:
- In the Users tab, search for users and their listed attempt types. If you wish to view a specific user’s results, click on an individual attempt.
- In the Attempts tab you can restrict your search of survey results by number of attempts. If you wish to view the number of attempts per question within a survey, click View Overall Results at the bottom of the page.
