Brightspace Creator+ gives instructors the tools to create interactive, accessible, and mobile-friendly course content quickly and easily without any coding or software experience. Some examples of what can be done with Creator+ include implementing ungraded knowledge check activities, embedding multimedia content, and creating visual templates. Brightspace Community Overview

The Brightspace Community contains guides and documentation by role on using Brightspace, a Learning Center with additional course resources for using Brightspace, and a Product Idea Exchange (PIE) where you can submit and vote on improvements to various tools in Brightspace. Access Creator+ Resources

When you visit the Brightspace Community, you will already have access to some resources before registering for a free account—this includes written documentation and video guides on using Brightspace. To access additional resources, including the Creator+ resources in the Learning Center, you will have to register for a free account.

To register for a free Brightspace Community account:

  1. Open the Brightspace Community website.
  1. Click on the Sign In/Register button on the top-right of the screen.
  1. Click on Sign up now to start creating a new account.
  1. Enter your USC email address.
  1. Click Send verification code.
  1. Check your email for the verification code and enter it in the verification code field.
  1. Click Verify code.
  1. After verification, enter your desired password, and additional user information.
  1. Select Instructor in the Role dropdown menu if you are an instructor or staff member who will be using Brightspace at USC.
  1. Select Higher Education in the Segment dropdown menu.
  1. Enter USC in the Organization Name field and click USC in the dropdown menu.
  1. Check the box to agree to the Brightspace Community’s code of conduct.
  1. Click on Create.
