Brightspace Pulse helps students manage their course needs on the go, while learning to plan for the future. With Brightspace Pulse, you can:
- Quickly view updates and announcements for your courses and content.
- Configure push notification and real-time alerts for courses and content.
- View course, assignments, grades, calendars, and more.
- Manage your course workload and edit activities to properly plan for the future.
- Brightspace Pulse is available to all students, there is no charge to use the app.

Using the Brightspace Pulse App
The Brightspace Pulse app has three ways of serving information: natively in-app or through a web browser.
- Natively in-app: The Brightspace Pulse app provides the requested information directly in its user interface.
- Web browser: The Brightspace Pulse app launches a web browser to provide the requested information.
The following list details what can be viewed within the Brightspace Pulse app as opposed to what can only be viewed in a browser. Note: This list is not exhaustive.

- PDF (special features such as password protection are unsupported)

- Brightspace Capture audio-video content.
**You can check your individual grades in the Brightspace Pulse app but to see a holistic overview of your course standing, you must do so from the browser.
Due to these considerations, the Brightspace Pulse app is best used as a companion tool to the website.
